Gothic Pumpkin Stencils
Gothic pumpkin stencils pull from cathedrals and old castles: pointed arches, tracery windows, ravens, bats, ornate crosses, and dark romantic shapes with a moody, Victorian feel.

How to carve a gothic pumpkin stencil
Gothic tracery is a lattice of thin bridges around larger windows. Cut the small openings in the lattice first and the big arch shapes last. Symmetry matters, so poke both halves of the pattern before you cut anything and check they mirror each other.
Gothic pumpkins look best in a formal setting: symmetrical pairs on either side of a door, or one in an arched window. Add a raven or a candelabra for the full effect.
