Download the Siberian Husky pumpkin stencil as a free printable PDF, then tape the pattern to your pumpkin and trace the lines. A Siberian Husky portrait faces three-quarters left: the triangular ears with small interior cuts, the characteristic facial mask rendered as a series of floating light-and-shadow shapes, and the ruff of the collar all break the face into layered islands of pumpkin skin. The large negative circle framing the head creates a medallion effect when lit, and the mask shapes inside glow as warm orange ridges against the dark background. Work from the smallest inner facial shapes outward, leaving the outer framing arc until last so the structure stays rigid while the details are cut. It works as a carving template for a Halloween jack-o'-lantern or a fall porch display. It is rated Advanced. Actual time varies with preparation, pumpkin size and experience. Fine details and narrow supports need careful planning. Follow the cutting and shading key in this designβs PDF.

Frequently asked questions
Can I resize this stencil?βΎ
Yes. The PDF is vector so it scales cleanly. Print the pattern at 100% for a 7 to 10 inch pumpkin, 130% for 11 to 13 inch, or 150% for a giant. Use your printer's "Fit to page" or "Custom scale" setting.
What kind of paper works best?βΎ
Standard 20 lb letter or A4 printer paper is fine. Heavier paper is harder to bend around the pumpkin curve. If your printer supports it, set the quality to 'best' so the lines are crisp.
How long will the carved pumpkin last?βΎ
Usually 5 to 10 days. Coat all cut surfaces with petroleum jelly and store the pumpkin somewhere cool overnight. Avoid direct sun. Battery LED pumpkin lights produce no heat and help it last longer.
Can I sell pumpkins carved with this stencil?βΎ
Yes, the carved pumpkin you make is yours. The license covers personal and small-scale commercial carving (selling carved pumpkins, photographing them, posting on social). You may not resell the PDF file itself.
What if my printer doesn't print the whole stencil?βΎ
Set 'Page scaling' to 'Fit' in the print dialog and uncheck 'Auto-rotate'. If it still cuts off, the design includes 0.25" of safe-area margin so a small crop won't ruin it.
How to carve this stencil
- Transfer the full pattern and identify all floating islands in the muzzle and mask area before cutting.
- Start with the small ear-interior triangles and the eye-socket shapes.
- Cut the muzzle detail shapes next: the nose, the light facial stripe between the eyes, and the chin shapes.
- Remove the large dark areas of the facial mask that form the open background behind the face features.
- Cut the collar ruff curves at the bottom of the design.
- Finish with the large circular frame arc around the whole head, making the cut in two arcs so the pumpkin wall doesn't flex mid-cut.
Tools you'll need
For a advanced carve like this you'll want a fine-detail pumpkin saw, spoon / scoop, pin transfer tool, and small gouge if the pattern includes shading. Here's the kit we reach for, but start with whatever you already own.

AdvancedPug Pumpkin Stencil
A grinning pug puppy sits upright in this detailed pumpkin stencil, its flat wrinkled muzzle, round cheek circles, floppy ears, curled tail, and stubby paws all rendered in interlocking cut shapes. The pug's body is largely solid orange pumpkin skin held together by thin bridges between cut sections, so the face details and surrounding silhouette glow from behind. Carve the two circular eye areas and the small nose last to avoid weakening the bridges around the mouth before the outer body is complete.
AdvancedFrench Bulldog Puppy Pumpkin Stencil
A front-facing French Bulldog puppy sits with large upright ears, wide cartoon eyes with round pupils, a flat pushed-in nose, spot-marked cheeks with tiny freckle dots, and chunky paws crossed at the bottom in this dog pumpkin stencil. The cut-away areas around the ears, inside the eyes, and across the chest give the glowing jack-o-lantern a strong portrait effect with plenty of warm orange pumpkin skin defining the Frenchie's wrinkled face. Carve the freckle dots and pupil circles before the ear openings so the delicate face detail is cut while the surrounding skin is at its firmest.
AdvancedGerman Shepherd Pumpkin Stencil
A German Shepherd in a proud alert stance fills this pumpkin stencil as a single clean silhouette: erect pointed ears, a strong muzzle, a deep chest, and a slightly tucked hindquarter all captured in an unbroken outline with no interior cut-outs. When carved, the whole dog shape is one large pierced-through opening that glows as a pure bright silhouette against the dark night. Because the design has no internal bridges to worry about, trace the outline slowly and keep the cut continuous, paying extra attention to the sharp ear tips and the fine fur texture along the belly line, which can tear if the blade catches.
AdvancedFrench Bulldog Pumpkin Stencil
A French Bulldog face stares straight out in this hard dog pumpkin stencil, its large upright bat ears, flat wrinkled muzzle, deep-set eye hollows, pushed-in nose, and jowl folds all captured as a continuous linework design with the open channels carved through and the skin ridges left intact. The ears are wide and open, connecting to the head via two curving lines that form thin bridges at the ear base. Carve the interior face details, including the eye hollows, nose curl, and jowl lines, before cutting the outer ear outlines, so the head stays rigidly attached while you work the delicate inner linework.
AdvancedEnglish Bulldog Pumpkin Stencil
A stocky English bulldog puppy sits front-facing in this detailed dog pumpkin stencil, its wrinkled forehead, round cheek pouches, upturned nose, and splayed paws all rendered in interlocking cut sections. Large open areas in the chest and outer body frame a web of narrow pumpkin-skin bridges that define the jowls and snout; lit from inside, those bridges glow amber against the dark recesses. Work the tiny nostril dots and cheek-spot circles first with a small drill bit or punch, then carve outward to avoid collapsing those delicate interior pieces.
