Alien Face Pumpkin Stencils
Alien face pumpkin stencils use large almond eyes, a smooth head, and a tiny mouth, an unexpected twist on the usual Halloween face. Some add antennae, a flying saucer, or a beam of light.

How to carve an alien face pumpkin stencil
The alien is mostly two big almond eyes. Cut them as smooth curves with the points at the outer corners, using short saw strokes and finishing the points with a knife. The mouth is a small slit and the nostrils are two pushpin pokes. Antennae are thin slits ending in small round cuts.
An alien pumpkin under a hanging paper-plate flying saucer is a fun, easy display. Set a couple of small ones nearby as the crew.
Questions
Alien Face stencil questions
How do I carve the big almond eyes cleanly?+
Draw them in marker first, cut the long curves with short saw strokes, turning the pumpkin as you go, and finish each pointed corner from both sides with a craft knife.
Is the alien face an easy stencil?+
Yes. Two eyes, a slit mouth, and maybe a pair of antennae. It is one of the simplest non-traditional faces and takes about 30 minutes.
How long do alien face pumpkin stencils take to carve?+
Check the individual stencil's carving guide for its time estimate. Preparation, pumpkin size, wall thickness and your experience affect the total; difficulty alone does not determine carving time.
