How to carve a devil pumpkin stencil

The devil face is a grin with a goatee and two small horns. Cut the eyes and grin through, leave the goatee as an uncut point below the mouth, and cut the horns as small wedge openings on the forehead. The pitchfork is a thin uncut handle with three cut-through points at the top.

A devil pumpkin next to an angel pumpkin on the other side of the door is a classic joke. It also fits any red-lit spooky corner.

Questions

Devil stencil questions

What is the difference between the devil and demon stencils?+

Devil designs are playful: a goatee, small horns, a pitchfork, and a grin. Demon designs are menacing, with slit eyes, big horns, and fangs.

How do I carve the pitchfork?+

Leave the handle as a thin uncut strip and cut the three tines through as small pointed openings at the top. Finish the tine tips with a craft knife.

How long do devil pumpkin stencils take to carve?+

Check the individual stencil's carving guide for its time estimate. Preparation, pumpkin size, wall thickness and your experience affect the total; difficulty alone does not determine carving time.

Which devil pumpkin stencils are the easiest?+

3 of the 11 are easy, 2 of the 11 are intermediate, 2 of the 11 are hard, 4 of the 11 are expert. Compare the difficulty labels and carving guides to choose a design.

Pick a devil design, print it, and light up the porch.
