How to carve a dragon pumpkin stencil
Cut the body and wing outlines through, then scrape the wing membranes so they glow softer than the edges. Scales are scraped in overlapping arcs, not cut. Flames are cut through with tapering tips finished by a knife. The horns and tail spade are small wedge cuts; do them before the large body opening.
A dragon pumpkin deserves the top step, where the wings show against the door. It pairs with a castle or a knight silhouette for a fantasy scene.
