Step back, squint, and touch up any values that jump out as too bright or too flat.

   Drop a battery LED puck or a string of warm LEDs inside, never a candle, because the thin muzzle would scorch and darken under real flame. Aim the brightest light toward the center of the face so the muzzle and brow pop. Photograph at dusk on a porch step for that warm doorway glow. Mist the cut edges with water and refrigerate overnight to keep the wrinkles crisp.
