Leave the darkest outline skin fully intact to frame the face.

   Light it and photograph

   Set a warm white LED puck inside, resting it low and slightly forward so the glow spreads evenly across the face. Avoid a single bright bulb that creates hot spots and flattens your shading. Photograph at dusk on a porch step so the amber portrait reads against a dark background. Mist the surface lightly and refrigerate between showings to slow drying and keep the fine etching crisp.
