Keep every tooth attached at both the top gum line and the bottom so nothing snaps off. Take your time here, since the teeth are the focal point.

   Light it and photograph

   Drop in a battery LED light, never a candle, since the thin teeth and petals can scorch. Set the pumpkin on your brick step at dusk and check that the eyes and mouth glow evenly. If any area looks dull, scrape a little more from the inside wall behind it. Snap your photo while the sky is still deep blue for the best contrast.
