Puppy Pumpkin Stencils

Puppy pumpkin stencils feature floppy ears, big eyes, and playful poses, a puppy with a bone, one tilting its head, one with a paw raised. Their rounded shapes make them a good pick for younger carvers.

How to carve a puppy pumpkin stencil

The floppy ears are the puppy's biggest feature: leave them uncut and scrape a soft edge around them so they stand out against a cut-through background. The big eyes are simple round openings. Cut the nose as a rounded triangle and the mouth as a small curve.

Puppy pumpkins are for the kids' room window or a low step where small visitors see them up close. A bone-shaped mini pumpkin beside it is a fun touch.

Questions

Puppy stencil questions

Are puppy stencils good for kids?+

Yes. Big eyes, simple ears, and no thin lines put most puppy designs in the Easy range. A child can carve the eyes with a plastic saw.

How do I make the puppy look soft rather than sharp?+

Round every corner as you cut and scrape the ear edges instead of cutting them. Warm light finishes the soft look.

How long do puppy pumpkin stencils take to carve?+

Check the individual stencil's carving guide for its time estimate. Preparation, pumpkin size, wall thickness and your experience affect the total; difficulty alone does not determine carving time.

Which puppy pumpkin stencils are the easiest?+

16 of the 26 are easy, 6 of the 26 are intermediate, 2 of the 26 are hard, 2 of the 26 are expert. Compare the difficulty labels and carving guides to choose a design.

Pick a puppy design, print it, and light up the porch.
