Werewolf Pumpkin Stencils
Werewolf pumpkin stencils show snarling wolf faces, pointed ears, fangs, and full-moon howls. Fur texture makes many of them better suited to patient carvers, but the howling silhouette against the moon is quick and dramatic.

How to carve a werewolf pumpkin stencil
For a howling silhouette, cut the moon through and leave the wolf uncut inside it, attached at the paws. For a snarling face, cut the eyes and the open mouth through, leave the fangs as uncut points, and scrape the fur in short strokes radiating out from the nose. Ear tufts are small wedge cuts.
A werewolf pumpkin howling at a real full moon is the dream. Failing that, set it on a high step where the silhouette shows against the sky.
Questions
Werewolf stencil questions
How do I carve werewolf fur?+
Scrape it rather than cutting through. Use a small gouge in short strokes that follow the fur direction, deeper around the muzzle and lighter toward the edges of the face.
Which werewolf stencil is easiest?+
The howling wolf in front of a full moon. Cut the moon and leave the wolf uncut; it is one big opening and takes about 45 minutes.
How long do werewolf pumpkin stencils take to carve?+
Check the individual stencil's carving guide for its time estimate. Preparation, pumpkin size, wall thickness and your experience affect the total; difficulty alone does not determine carving time.
