   Light it and take your photo

   Set a battery LED or two inside, never a candle, since the deep cavity and thin details do best with cool, even light. Aim one light upward toward the eyes so they read as two bright circles. Shoot in a dim spot at dusk with the pumpkin slightly above eye level. A dab of petroleum jelly on cut edges slows drying if you want it to last a few extra days.
