How to carve a baby pumpkin stencil
Baby faces are round eyes, a tiny nose, and a small mouth; cut the eyes with short strokes and the nose and mouth with a knife. Booties and bottles are simple silhouettes cut in one piece. Lettering like 'Baby's 1st Halloween' is scraped, and small hearts or stars around it are pushpin pokes.
A baby pumpkin on the nursery windowsill or next to the crib for a photo is the whole point. It also makes a sweet shower centrepiece.
Questions
Baby stencil questions
Can I add the baby's name to the stencil?+
Yes. Print the pattern, write the name in the space in similar lettering, and scrape the letters rather than cutting them so nothing falls out.
Are baby stencils easy?+
Yes. Round eyes, simple shapes, and scraped lettering keep them Easy. They take about 30 to 45 minutes.
How long do baby pumpkin stencils take to carve?+
Check the individual stencil's carving guide for its time estimate. Preparation, pumpkin size, wall thickness and your experience affect the total; difficulty alone does not determine carving time.
