   Save the long outer silhouette, the sweep of the cape, the flowing tail, and the rearing legs, for last so the pumpkin stays rigid as long as possible. Check that every bridge is still holding before you set the tool down.

   Light it and take your photo

   Drop in a battery LED puck or string, never a candle, since the thin cutouts and skin bridges can scorch. Set the light low and toward the back so the beam spreads evenly through the horse and rider. Shoot your photo in a dark room so the glowing silhouette pops against the shadowed skin. Rub a little petroleum jelly on cut edges to slow drying if you want it to last a few extra days.
