Download the Bloodshot Eyes Emoji pumpkin stencil as a free printable PDF, then tape the pattern to your pumpkin and trace the lines. A double-eyeball emoji pumpkin stencil showing two large oval eye shapes side by side, each filled with a crescent-shaped pupil and surrounded by radiating cracked vein lines that branch outward from the iris to the oval edges. When lit, the big ovals glow brightly while the solid crescent pupils and vein bridges stay dark, creating an unsettling bloodshot stare. Cut the largest oval backgrounds of each eye before the thin branching veins, since removing the big sections first gives your blade room to maneuver around the fragile vein tips. It works as a carving template for a Halloween jack-o'-lantern or a fall porch display. It is rated Advanced. Actual time varies with preparation, pumpkin size and experience. Fine details and narrow supports need careful planning. Follow the cutting and shading key in this designβs PDF.

Frequently asked questions
Can I resize this stencil?βΎ
Yes. The PDF is vector so it scales cleanly. Print the pattern at 100% for a 7 to 10 inch pumpkin, 130% for 11 to 13 inch, or 150% for a giant. Use your printer's "Fit to page" or "Custom scale" setting.
What kind of paper works best?βΎ
Standard 20 lb letter or A4 printer paper is fine. Heavier paper is harder to bend around the pumpkin curve. If your printer supports it, set the quality to 'best' so the lines are crisp.
How long will the carved pumpkin last?βΎ
Usually 5 to 10 days. Coat all cut surfaces with petroleum jelly and store the pumpkin somewhere cool overnight. Avoid direct sun. Battery LED pumpkin lights produce no heat and help it last longer.
Can I sell pumpkins carved with this stencil?βΎ
Yes, the carved pumpkin you make is yours. The license covers personal and small-scale commercial carving (selling carved pumpkins, photographing them, posting on social). You may not resell the PDF file itself.
What if my printer doesn't print the whole stencil?βΎ
Set 'Page scaling' to 'Fit' in the print dialog and uncheck 'Auto-rotate'. If it still cuts off, the design includes 0.25" of safe-area margin so a small crop won't ruin it.
How to carve this stencil
- Transfer the stencil and start with the large oval background opening of the left eye, cutting the outer border in one continuous motion.
- Repeat for the right oval, then pause before cutting veins.
- Inside each oval, cut the vein branches from their widest root point outward toward the tips, thin tips snap if you press from the end inward.
- Leave the crescent pupil solid in each eye; it is the structural center island that defines the bloodshot stare.
- Work slowly around each forked vein junction; these Y-intersections are the most fragile points in the design.
- An LED placed low and central makes both pupils cast matching shadows for a symmetrical glowing-eyes effect.

AdvancedThe Mystic Gaze Pumpkin Stencil
Two huge almond eyes stare straight out, each ringed by fanned lash bars above and a spray of teardrop cuts below, with attached pupils floating in the centers. The eye whites, brow strokes, and roughly twenty teardrops are all pierced, leaving the pupils and lash ribs as connected shell. This one earns its hard rating on the thin lash bars, so cut every slot outward from the eye and support the wall with your palm.
AdvancedThe Serrated Smile Pumpkin Stencil
This wicked traditional face stacks barred triangle eyes with heavy slanted brows above a huge serrated grin, then flanks the mouth with rows of small wedge and diamond accents across both cheeks. Everything is cut through, and the eye bars are thin strips of shell left inside each triangle. Cut on both sides of each eye bar before removing the surrounding pieces, and save the tiny cheek diamonds for last.
AdvancedThe Stitched Stare Pumpkin Stencil
Two enormous wide eyes with hanging pupils stare beneath crackling zigzag brows, while small skull nostrils sit above a long stitched grin that stretches nearly ear to ear. The eyes are cut through around the drooping pupil tabs, the nostrils are pierced, and the mouth is one thin line crossed by vertical stitch slits. Those dangling pupils and skinny stitches make this a hard carve; keep every stitch cut short and support the pupil tabs while you saw around them.
AdvancedOld Mischief Pumpkin Stencil
A mischievous scowling face with arched eyebrows over round glaring eyes, small wrinkle slits fanning from each eye's outer corner, diamond accents dotting the cheeks, and a sweeping smile packed with uneven square teeth. Every cut pierces through, so light streams from all the details at once. A hard carve where the wrinkle slits are the fussy part; cut those hairline slivers with a detail saw before opening the large eye holes beside them.
AdvancedThe Crooked Leer Pumpkin Stencil
Slanted leering eyes with attached round pupils glare above a crooked off-center nose and a jagged sneer packed with pointed fangs, while scattered diamond scars glint across both cheeks. The eyes, nose, mouth, and diamonds are pierced with pupils and fang points left as shell. The hard part is the web of narrow fangs; cut each tooth gap from tip to base and never twist the blade mid-cut.
AdvancedFang Snarl Pumpkin Stencil
Deeply wrinkled brows curl over narrowed eyes with rooted pupil tabs, a flared nose snarls in the middle, and a wide fanged grin full of jagged teeth completes this genuinely sinister face, flanked by small diamond cutouts at each temple. Everything is pierced through, and the layered brow wrinkles are why it rates hard. Cut the thin wrinkle slits with a fine-detail saw before the larger eye and mouth openings weaken the surrounding wall.
