   Now remove the background so the silhouette pops. Work from the center of each open area outward, cutting the smaller gaps first and the largest openings last to keep the wall strong. Keep a clean, steady line right along the dinosaur's back and belly so the outline stays crisp. Add the foliage and ground details along the bottom as thin cut shapes to frame the scene.

   Light it and photograph

   Drop in an LED puck light or a battery string, never a candle, since the deep cutouts and thin details heat up and dry out fast. Set it low and forward so the light rakes up through the mouth and scales. Take your porch photo in near darkness so the glow reads strongly against the shadows. Mist the cut edges with water and refrigerate overnight between showings to slow shrinkage.
