Funny Pumpkin Stencils

The cross-eyed and open-mouthed faces. They use big simple shapes and only a few cuts, so most are marked Easy and take under 45 minutes.

Carve an open mouth low on the pumpkin with the eyes squinting, then pile the scooped-out seeds and pulp spilling from the mouth onto the step. Refresh the pile if it dries out.

Check the individual stencil's carving guide for its time estimate. Preparation, pumpkin size, wall thickness and your experience affect the total; difficulty alone does not determine carving time.
