Flying Owl pumpkin stencil
Easy

Flying Owl Pumpkin Stencil

A front-facing owl in full wing spread fills this easy pumpkin stencil, the entire bird rendered as a single solid silhouette with ear tufts visible at the top of the head and feathered wingtips fanning wide on both sides. The whole shape is pierced as one large cutout, so the lit jack-o-lantern throws a bold bright owl outline with no interior detail to worry about. Thin the pumpkin wall evenly behind the wing tips before cutting, since the long feather edges can crack if the wall is too thick when you remove the large central section.

Striding Velociraptor pumpkin stencil
Easy

Striding Velociraptor Pumpkin Stencil

A velociraptor in full stride dominates this easy pumpkin stencil, shown in profile with its distinctive upright neck, narrow head, small forelimbs, and long stiffened tail extended behind it. The entire dinosaur silhouette is cut as a single open shape, and a small inner detail near the chest is removed separately to show the bent arm. Lit from behind, it reads instantly as a raptor shadow against the glowing pumpkin. Trace the tail outline before cutting because the long thin tail tip can run outside the pumpkin's curve if not centered.

Snarling Wolf Face pumpkin stencil
Hard

Snarling Wolf Face Pumpkin Stencil

A wolf face stares straight forward in this hard pumpkin stencil, its large triangular ears open and pierced, its almond-shaped eyes cut through, and its muzzle parted to reveal a fanged open mouth. The fur around the face is rendered as jagged zigzag edges, and the nose bridge and cheek ruff details are a mix of solid and cut sections that read as fur texture when lit. Carve the two thin lightning-bolt-shaped brow marks above the eyes before removing the larger eye cutouts, as they are the most fragile narrow strips in the design.

Snarling Bat pumpkin stencil
Easy

Snarling Bat Pumpkin Stencil

A wide-winged bat stretches nearly edge to edge in this easy bat pumpkin stencil, its wing panels divided by bold vein lines and a snarling cartoon face centered in the body. The wings are the large pierced areas that glow brightest, while the vein lines and the face details remain as solid orange strips inside the cutout. Carve the small pointed fangs in the face before tackling the big wing panels, so the blade has firm pumpkin wall support when making those fine cuts.

Howling Wolf Moon pumpkin stencil
Hard

Howling Wolf Moon Pumpkin Stencil

A wolf howling at a large crescent-shaped moon fills this hard pumpkin stencil, with a trio of jagged pine trees to the left and the wolf's body set as a solid orange silhouette inside the open pierced moon arc. The moon itself is the glowing background that frames the wolf and trees, while the animal and pines remain as uncut pumpkin skin. When carving the pine tree segments, cut each zigzag branch notch one at a time using a small detail blade, since the tight repeated angles along the tree edges are easy to over-cut and merge into a single straight line.

Free PDF
Snail pumpkin stencil
Hard

Snail Pumpkin Stencil

A giant snail is the surprising subject here: a segmented spiral shell packed with dashed arc cutouts occupies most of the design, while the snail's body stretches out to the right and two small eyestalks rise from the head. The shell is built from concentric broken rings that leave thin solid bridges between segments, and the effect when lit is an intricate circular lantern orbited by a slow-moving creature. Cut the outermost arc segments of the shell first and work inward toward the central solid disc so the bridges hold until last.

Rearing Rat pumpkin stencil
Hard

Rearing Rat Pumpkin Stencil

A rat rearing up on its hind legs fills this Halloween pumpkin stencil, its long curved tail sweeping to one side and multiple whiskers fanning from both sides of the snout. The body is largely solid orange pumpkin skin framed by a pierced silhouette, so candlelight outlines the creature's claws and ragged chest fur in warm amber. Cut the whisker lines early while the stencil is anchored: there are three to four per side, so work from the snout outward on each side before opening the larger body area.

Free PDF
Teddy Bear pumpkin stencil
Hard

Teddy Bear Pumpkin Stencil

A seated teddy bear with tattered, drip-edged fur fills this hard-level pumpkin stencil: a round head with small round ears, two circular cheek spots, a nose-and-muzzle cutout, and a tummy split into two glowing panels flanked by small round paws. The ragged fur silhouette along the top of the head and across the body creates dozens of short, jagged points that must stay connected. Work from the center facial features outward, and avoid pressing too hard on the bear's narrow fur-tip points so they do not snap before the larger belly sections are removed.

Button the Bat pumpkin stencil
Easy

Button the Bat Pumpkin Stencil

A round-bodied cartoon bat fills this Halloween pumpkin stencil, its wide goggle eyes left solid orange while the large circular head, fanned wing panels, and small ear tufts are all pierced through. The design reads instantly as a friendly yet spooky bat jack-o-lantern, with bold open shapes that glow warmly at night. Cut the large circular body opening first, then work outward to the wing panels so the surrounding pumpkin wall stays stable while you maneuver the knife.

Free PDF
Stegosaurus pumpkin stencil
Hard

Stegosaurus Pumpkin Stencil

A cartoon stegosaurus with a round friendly face, four chunky legs, and a row of large diamond-shaped back plates fills this hard pumpkin stencil. The body is carved as a wide open pierce, the back plates are pierced individually above it, and the toes and facial details are fine cut-outs. When lit, the dinosaur glows as a bright segmented shape with the plates hovering above the silhouette. Carve the face details and tiny toe lines before removing the large body section, since the body cut-through will flex the pumpkin wall and make those small details harder to control.

Shaggy Cat pumpkin stencil
Expert

Shaggy Cat Pumpkin Stencil

A sleek cat sits upright in this expert-level pumpkin stencil, its fur rendered in dozens of jagged, flowing cuts that create a shaggy, windswept silhouette from pointed ears to a curled tail tip. Narrow slivers form the whiskers and facial detail, while the body interior is laced with thin connecting bridges. When lit, the cat pumpkin carving glows with textured depth. Carve the whisker lines last and from the center outward, since they are the most likely to snap if the surrounding flesh shifts.

Free PDF
Triceratops pumpkin stencil
Hard

Triceratops Pumpkin Stencil

A chubby cartoon triceratops in a walking pose fills this hard pumpkin stencil: a large frilled head with three prominent horns, two small oval nostril dots and a crescent eye below the frill, a round body, four chunky legs with pointed toe claws, and a short upturned tail. The frill at the back of the head is an open silhouette that glows as a scalloped arc. Cut the three horn outlines and the two small nostril dots first before the broader body and leg cutouts, as the nostril dots are isolated and easiest to control while the pumpkin is still intact.

Two Sharks pumpkin stencil
Easy

Two Sharks Pumpkin Stencil

Two sharks overlap in a dramatic diving composition for this easy pumpkin stencil: a large shark lunges forward with serrated teeth exposed, and a smaller shark curves below it. The negative space between the two bodies is cut away, leaving the sharks as solid orange pumpkin forms. The jagged row of teeth on the large shark is the most detailed edge in the design. Cut the teeth line with individual short plunge-cuts per tooth point rather than sawing along the jagged edge, which reduces the risk of tearing the tips.

Free PDF
Turtle pumpkin stencil
Easy

Turtle Pumpkin Stencil

A side-view turtle with a segmented shell is the subject of this easy pumpkin stencil: the domed carapace is divided into roughly twelve polygonal scute cutouts separated by thin pumpkin-skin ridges, the head extends forward on a curved neck with a small circular eye detail, and four stubby legs and a short tail complete the silhouette. When lit, the shell glows as a mosaic of separate panels. Cut the smaller head and eye section before tackling the large shell scutes, since the head area has less surrounding support once the shell pieces are removed.

Free PDF
Tiger Face pumpkin stencil
Expert

Tiger Face Pumpkin Stencil

A full-face tiger portrait stares forward from this expert-level pumpkin stencil: the broad round head is ringed by a jagged fur ruff, two triangular ears with inner cutouts peek from the top corners, and the face is built from dozens of interlocking stripe-shaped cutouts that form the eyes, nose bridge, muzzle, and whisker spots. The lit result shows a photorealistic tiger rendered entirely in positive pumpkin bridges and negative glowing gaps. Work from the center of the face outward, cutting the small eye-iris pieces first before tackling the radiating stripe cuts that hold the whole design together.

Schnauzer pumpkin stencil
Easy

Schnauzer Pumpkin Stencil

A side-profile schnauzer silhouette with a beard, bushy eyebrows, and perky ears stands as the main cut-through shape in this easy dog pumpkin stencil. A separate tail piece and a small heart cutout on the dog's side complete the design; the heart stays as solid pumpkin wall inside an open negative-space frame. The carved pumpkin shows the schnauzer in bold orange relief against a dark background. Cut the heart outline early while the pumpkin is still firm, since the thin wall forming the heart border is the most fragile element in the design.

Sea Turtle pumpkin stencil
Hard

Sea Turtle Pumpkin Stencil

A sea turtle viewed from above fills this pumpkin stencil, with four swept-back flippers and a dome-shaped shell covered in roughly twenty interlocking polygonal plates, each plate a separate cut piece separated by thin lines of uncut pumpkin. The resulting jack-o-lantern glows through every shell segment individually, mapping out the turtle's scute pattern in orange-framed light. Cut the smallest outer-edge shell plates first since they have the least surrounding support, then work inward toward the larger central scutes.

Sewer Snarl pumpkin stencil
Hard

Sewer Snarl Pumpkin Stencil

A detailed rat rearing up on its hind legs fills this hard pumpkin stencil, posed with clawed front paws raised, mouth open in a snarl, and a long curling tail sweeping around the lower body. Unlike the simpler silhouette rat in this collection, this design uses internal cut lines to carve fur texture, claw separations, and an open mouth, leaving thin pumpkin ridges that define the anatomy when lit. Cut the individual claw slots in the front paws first so those delicate tips are still surrounded by solid pumpkin.

Free PDF
Cute Starfish pumpkin stencil
Hard

Cute Starfish Pumpkin Stencil

A stylized starfish with five rounded arms and a cute cartoon face, including two large round eyes with small lashes, a button nose, and a gentle smile, sits symmetrically centered in this hard pumpkin stencil. The arm openings and facial features are cut through while the narrow bands between the arm segments stay solid, framing the starfish shape clearly when lit. The thin band between the two eye holes is the most vulnerable bridge; cut the right eye last so you can brace the section from both sides during that final cut.

Free PDF
Coiled Snake pumpkin stencil
Hard

Coiled Snake Pumpkin Stencil

A coiled snake in an S-curve fills this hard pumpkin stencil, its body broken into roughly twenty irregularly shaped scale-pattern segments separated by thin cut lines, with a small triangular head visible at the upper left and the tail tapering to a narrow point at the bottom. When lit, the gaps between scale segments glow white-hot against the orange pumpkin bridges, making the snake's banded pattern pop. Start cutting at the tail tip, where the segments are smallest and most fragile, then work up the body toward the larger mid-coil pieces.

Free PDF
Sloth pumpkin stencil
Easy

Sloth Pumpkin Stencil

A sloth clings with its long clawed arm across the center of this easy pumpkin stencil, its round face showing closed or half-shut eyes and a compact round nose, with a shaggy fur outline around the head and a rounded body below. The large body and arm openings are cut through while the face detail pieces stay solid, so the lit pumpkin shows the sloth's relaxed expression clearly outlined in orange. Cut the small eye-detail pieces before opening the large arm void so those delicate shapes have full surrounding support.

Free PDF
Standing T-Rex pumpkin stencil
Hard

Standing T-Rex Pumpkin Stencil

A fleshed-out T-rex stands upright in this dinosaur pumpkin stencil, with a large skull showing serrated teeth, tiny forelimbs with claw tips, a muscular body, and thick hind legs with three-toed feet rendered as solid orange pumpkin wall. The spaces between and around the figure are cut through, so the lit jack-o-lantern silhouettes the dinosaur in warm orange against a glowing background. Cut the narrow gaps between the forelimb claws and the small toe gaps first before opening any of the large surrounding sections, as those tight details are easier to control while the wall is fully rigid.

Free PDF
Paw Print pumpkin stencil
Easy

Paw Print Pumpkin Stencil

A large paw print with one big central pad and four oval toe pads fills the face of this pumpkin stencil, each pad carved as a separate pierced cutout surrounded by solid orange wall. Lit from inside, the glowing ovals float against the dark background and read instantly as a cat or dog track. Cut the four smaller toe pads first while the central pad wall is still fully intact to keep the surrounding skin from flexing and cracking during the trickier large cut.

Free PDF
Velociraptor pumpkin stencil
Hard

Velociraptor Pumpkin Stencil

A snarling velociraptor lunges forward on this dinosaur pumpkin stencil, its open jaws showing individual teeth, forelegs raised with curved claws, and a long stiff tail arcing behind. The design uses a mix of pierced negative space and thin pumpkin-wall bridges to define the body segments, so the lit jack-o-lantern shows the raptor as an orange figure ringed by dark gaps. Start by cutting the smallest interior tooth shapes and claw details before removing the large body sections, so the surrounding wall keeps the stencil stable throughout.

Free PDF
Rottweiler pumpkin stencil
Expert

Rottweiler Pumpkin Stencil

A close-up Rottweiler face looks straight ahead on this dog pumpkin stencil, with expressive round eyes, a broad nose with a spiral nostril, and a relaxed mouth with a hint of jowl. Dozens of irregular cut sections across the forehead, cheeks, and ears create the breed's tan-and-black coat markings, all bridged by thin solid pumpkin-wall lines. When lit, the face glows with warmth through every gap while the orange bridges read as fur texture. Cut all the small inner-face detail shapes first, especially the nostril spiral, before tackling any of the large outer sections that would otherwise loosen the wall.

Giant Panda pumpkin stencil
Easy

Giant Panda Pumpkin Stencil

A giant panda sits upright in this easy pumpkin stencil, its chunky arms raised wide, rounded ears perched on top, and oval eye patches, a small nose, and a belly spot forming the face and body markings. The large body shape, the eye patches, and the surrounding negative space are cut through in layers, while the connecting bridges between ears and head and between arms and body stay solid. Carve the smaller eye patch ovals before the large outer body cut to avoid the face area shifting while you work the perimeter.

Lion Head pumpkin stencil
Expert

Lion Head Pumpkin Stencil

A majestic lion's head fills this pumpkin stencil from edge to edge, its full flowing mane rendered in sweeping curved cuts that radiate outward like flames, with the face centered and features defined by pierced nostrils, brow lines, and an open lower jaw. Lit from inside, the solid orange pumpkin forms the mane and facial structure while the cut gaps create the dramatic shading between mane locks. Begin carving in the outermost mane tips, where cuts are shortest, and work inward toward the face so the central wall remains stable while you navigate the most intricate facial detail cuts.

Rat pumpkin stencil
Easy

Rat Pumpkin Stencil

A rat stands upright on its hind legs in profile, nose tilted upward and thin whiskers radiating from its snout, with a long curved tail sweeping forward along the base. The entire silhouette is cut away as a single open shape, so candlelight throws a clean, solid rat shadow on surrounding surfaces. Because the tail curls close to the body at one point, make sure to cut that gap all the way through without nicking the connecting pumpkin flesh above it.

Howling Werewolf Moon pumpkin stencil
Expert

Howling Werewolf Moon Pumpkin Stencil

A howling werewolf perched on a rocky cliff dominates this expert pumpkin stencil, with a large full moon carved as an open oval behind the creature. The moon's interior is a solid pumpkin island held in place by a narrow strip at the top where the wolf's body bridges it. Scraggly pine trees and scattered bat silhouettes flank the scene, their fine spiky branches adding delicate pierced detail against the candlelit opening. Carve the large moon opening first to anchor the composition, then work outward through the bats and trees, leaving the thin bridge at the wolf's neck for last.

Raccoon pumpkin stencil
Easy

Raccoon Pumpkin Stencil

A raccoon ambling to the right fills this beginner pumpkin stencil with a chunky, rounded body, stubby legs, and a distinctive ringed face featuring the signature black mask rendered as curved cutout shapes around the eyes. A striped banded tail curves up behind the body and is carved as two separate arc shapes above the main silhouette. When lit, the mask rings and tail arcs glow while the body reads as a solid dark silhouette. The two small tail arc pieces are unconnected islands; press the stencil firmly and cut them before removing the larger body sections so they stay anchored.

Spider pumpkin stencil
Easy

Spider Pumpkin Stencil

A large, wide-legged spider dominates this beginner spider pumpkin stencil. Eight straight angular legs radiate from a round body at center, and a small rounded head sits just above the abdomen, both carved as a solid silhouette island connected to the surrounding pumpkin only by the gaps between each leg segment. When lit, the dark spider shape floats against a glowing orange field created by the large open spaces around and between each leg. Start by cutting the long outer leg segments first so the body stays supported until the final cuts.

Cartoon Owl pumpkin stencil
Hard

Cartoon Owl Pumpkin Stencil

A round, wide-eyed cartoon owl stares straight out from this animal pumpkin stencil, its large circular eyes each filled with a solid crescent pupil, two pointed ear tufts raised above the head, stubby wing tips at the sides, a triangular beak at center, and three rows of curved feather-scale cuts across the belly. The eyes and belly scales are pierced through while the owl body and face remain solid, so candlelight picks out the layered feather pattern in warm rows of light. Cut all the small belly-scale crescents before tackling the eye openings to keep the face rigid while you work the detail.

Bat pumpkin stencil
Easy

Bat Pumpkin Stencil

A front-facing bat with outstretched wings fills this jack-o-lantern pumpkin stencil, showing a snarling face at center and jagged wing edges that sweep to pointed tips on each side. The large background panels of each wing are cut away, leaving a solid bat silhouette with interior cut-outs for the eyes and facial features that glow distinctively when lit. Keep the narrow connecting bridge between the bat's body and each wing intact during carving so the whole design holds together.

Owl on Moon pumpkin stencil
Hard

Owl on Moon Pumpkin Stencil

A compact owl perches on a branch inside a full-circle moon background in this hard-level animal pumpkin stencil, the bird shown front-facing with heavy-lidded crescent eyes, a small triangular beak, three rows of curved feather-scale cuts on the belly, and stubby feet gripping the branch below. The circular moon background is cut away all around the owl, leaving the bird as a solid silhouette connected to the outer ring at the branch base, so the owl glows in outline against the bright moon when lit. Cut the circle background in sections while preserving the narrow branch connection at the bottom, which is the only structural link between the owl and the outer ring.

Sea Urchin pumpkin stencil
Hard

Sea Urchin Pumpkin Stencil

A stylized sea-urchin or crown-of-thorns creature gazes out from this hard-level pumpkin stencil, with five rows of triangular spines radiating above a cute wide-eyed face: two large round eyes accented by lash-like lines, two nostril dots, a small open mouth, and curved tentacle arms spreading at the bottom. Each triangular spine and the large rectangular tooth shapes are cut away so candlelight shoots upward through the spines while the eyes and mouth glow below. Pierce the tiny nostril dots and lash-line cuts first while the face is still fully rigid.

Great White Shark pumpkin stencil
Hard

Great White Shark Pumpkin Stencil

A great white shark lunges in profile across this animal pumpkin stencil, jaws open to reveal a row of serrated teeth, a round dot eye, a prominent dorsal fin, a pair of pectoral fins mid-body, and a forked tail sweeping back to the right. The body interior is cut away in a large open section while the teeth, fins, and eye detail stay as solid bridges of pumpkin skin, letting candlelight define the shark's menacing outline from within. Cut the mouth and individual tooth points before opening the large body cavity so the head stays anchored while you work the fine detail.

Opossum pumpkin stencil
Hard

Opossum Pumpkin Stencil

A cartoon opossum crouches in profile across this hard-difficulty pumpkin stencil, its oversized round eyes and small pupils peering out, tall rounded ears pricked up, a plump body with scruffy fur texture, and tiny clawed feet extending below. The large dark body mass is carved away while the ring-shaped eye outlines and a few scattered fur marks stay solid, creating a bold silhouette that reads well even without a light source. Cut the circular eye rings before removing any surrounding flesh so they keep their structural support.

Parasaurolophus pumpkin stencil
Hard

Parasaurolophus Pumpkin Stencil

A cute bipedal Parasaurolophus dinosaur faces right in this hard-level pumpkin stencil, with the signature backward-sweeping cranial crest arching above its round eye, a chunky body sectioned by organic blob-shaped cut-outs along the dorsal ridge and belly, two short front arms with clawed fingers, and sturdy hind legs. The blob-shaped body cut-outs stay open so the dinosaur glows in a spotted pattern when lit, while the outer silhouette stays solid. Cut the small claw details on the fingers before removing the large body sections so the arm area keeps its rigidity while you work.

Unicorn pumpkin stencil
Easy

Unicorn Pumpkin Stencil

A unicorn head in profile fills this beginner pumpkin stencil as a single clean silhouette: the long curved horn, a flowing mane with jagged spiky edges along the neck, and a graceful muzzle. The entire design is carved as one connected open shape so the lit jack-o-lantern shows the full unicorn outline glowing as a bright cutout. The jagged mane edge along the top of the neck creates a row of shallow points that can break if the blade wanders. Keep cuts on the mane tips short and angled directly inward toward the center mass to avoid snapping the narrow points.

Great Horned Owl Face pumpkin stencil
Expert

Great Horned Owl Face Pumpkin Stencil

A fierce great-horned owl face looms forward in this expert pumpkin stencil, with two large almond-shaped eye cavities framed by heavy curved brow ridges, a sharp pointed beak at center, ear tufts sweeping upward and outward, and dense spiky feather tips radiating outward from the face. The background within each eye cavity and around the brow is cut away in multiple sections, while the beak, brow ridges, and outer feather spikes stay solid as orange bridges. Begin with the eye cavities early to anchor symmetry, then cut the spiky outer feather tips last since they are the most likely to snap.

Rearing Horse pumpkin stencil
Hard

Rearing Horse Pumpkin Stencil

A powerful horse rears up on its hind legs in this detailed pumpkin stencil, its flowing mane and arched neck rendered in sweeping cut-through lines while the body remains largely solid orange. Thin bridges of pumpkin between the leg cuts and the belly keep the composition intact, so light escapes in dramatic slashes rather than one big opening. Cut the fine mane strands at the top first before tackling the larger body sections, to avoid flexing those delicate cuts while the rest of the work is underway.

Swooping Bald Eagle pumpkin stencil
Hard

Swooping Bald Eagle Pumpkin Stencil

A bald eagle swoops down with wings fully spread in this striking pumpkin stencil, its feathers rendered as a fan of elongated oval cutouts radiating from the body while the torso, tail, and talons are larger open shapes. The mosaic of separate feather pierces makes the wings blaze with light and gives the design a dramatic stained-glass quality. Cut the smallest outer wing-tip feathers first while the wall is firmest, then work inward toward the body to avoid weakening the center before the delicate tips are done.

Landing Crow pumpkin stencil
Easy

Landing Crow Pumpkin Stencil

A crow lands with wings spread wide in this pumpkin stencil, its whole body carved as a single flowing silhouette: broad fanned primary feathers stretch across the top, the compact body curves in the center, and sharp talons reach downward at the bottom. The entire bird shape is one large open cutout, so the glow forms a clean winged-bird shadow on the pumpkin's orange skin at the edges. The outermost wing-tip feathers taper to fine points, so trace and cut those tips before sawing into the larger body to prevent cracking the thin ends.

Lone Howl Ridge pumpkin stencil
Expert

Lone Howl Ridge Pumpkin Stencil

This expert-level pumpkin stencil presents a layered wilderness panorama: jagged mountain peaks and a partially obscured moon sit above a mid-ground of ridgelines, while the foreground holds a row of spiky pine trees and a tiny howling wolf on a plateau. Dozens of separate cut-through shapes at varying scales build depth across the whole composition. Tackle the tiny wolf and the narrowest tree spires first, as those fragile points are easiest to cut cleanly before surrounding sections are removed and the pumpkin wall softens.

Cat Silhouette pumpkin stencil
Easy

Cat Silhouette Pumpkin Stencil

A seated cat with one front paw raised stretches upward in this clean silhouette pumpkin stencil, the rounded head, pointed ears, compact torso, and curling tail all forming one continuous open cutout with no internal detail cuts. The simplicity of the single-piece design means glow floods the entire cat shape at once for a bold, graphic look. The tail curls away from the body and reconnects at the base, creating a narrow closed loop of pumpkin wall; cut along the inner curve of that tail loop first so the delicate enclosed section stays controlled.

Bat and Moon pumpkin stencil
Easy

Bat and Moon Pumpkin Stencil

A crescent moon curves across the upper half of the design with a small bat silhouette flying in front of it, both cut through as a single pumpkin stencil. The crescent is a wide sweeping arc and the bat sits slightly below center within the curve, its wings spread and ears pointed. The bat's body stays connected to the moon's surface by a thin shared border; carve the crescent first and leave the bat's outer wing edges touching the moon arc so the bat doesn't shift before you finish the interior.

Octopus Face pumpkin stencil
Hard

Octopus Face Pumpkin Stencil

A stylized cartoon octopus face fills this hard pumpkin stencil with a nearly circular head outline, two large round eyes with lash-like detail above them, a central beak-like nose bridge, and a decorative lower section featuring a symmetrical arch with layered cutwork and scalloped tentacle bases on each side. The round eyes are solid islands of pumpkin skin that must be preserved while the surrounding face is cut away. Carve the outer circular head arc first, then remove the face background working around the solid eye discs, and finish with the fine scalloped cuts at the bottom.

Hammerhead Shark pumpkin stencil
Easy

Hammerhead Shark Pumpkin Stencil

A hammerhead shark cruises horizontally across this pumpkin stencil, its body a wide flat silhouette with a tall dorsal fin, swept pectoral fins, and the distinctive wide rectangular head that gives the species its name. The entire shark body is one single large open cut-out, so the finished jack-o-lantern glows with a full bright shark shape against the dark pumpkin skin. Position the stencil so the shark's tail end and dorsal fin tip stay at least one inch from the pumpkin's edge, which keeps enough wall intact to stop the broad head from drooping under its own weight.
