Giraffe pumpkin stencil
Hard

Giraffe Pumpkin Stencil

A giraffe's elongated head and neck fill this pumpkin stencil from top to bottom, its distinctive coat pattern recreated as dozens of organic blob-shaped spots scattered across the neck and face. Each spot is a separate pierced-through opening, so when lit the jack-o-lantern glows with a constellation of irregular patches that read unmistakably as giraffe markings. Because many spots sit close together, cut the smallest spots near the top of the head first and work downward toward the larger neck patches, so the thin walls between neighboring openings stay supported longest.

German Shepherd pumpkin stencil
Hard

German Shepherd Pumpkin Stencil

A German Shepherd in a proud alert stance fills this pumpkin stencil as a single clean silhouette: erect pointed ears, a strong muzzle, a deep chest, and a slightly tucked hindquarter all captured in an unbroken outline with no interior cut-outs. When carved, the whole dog shape is one large pierced-through opening that glows as a pure bright silhouette against the dark night. Because the design has no internal bridges to worry about, trace the outline slowly and keep the cut continuous, paying extra attention to the sharp ear tips and the fine fur texture along the belly line, which can tear if the blade catches.

Toad pumpkin stencil
Hard

Toad Pumpkin Stencil

A plump toad viewed in profile crouches on this hard Halloween pumpkin stencil, with a large circular eye, a wide body, and four splayed feet rendered as interlocking cut-out sections separated by curving skin bridges. The body reads as a mosaic of light and shadow when lit, with the large back void glowing brightly and the leg bridges casting graphic lines across the opening. Cut the round eye circle first, then work from the head backward through each body section toward the feet.

Grinning Baby Dragon pumpkin stencil
Hard

Grinning Baby Dragon Pumpkin Stencil

A round cartoon dragon chick with large round eyes, stubby clawed feet, and a toothy grin fills this hard dragon pumpkin stencil, its body encircled by a looping scaly tail. The large circular body void and the face features are pierced through, while the narrow tail arc and the skin between the eyes form the connecting bridges. Cut the small interior eye and teeth details before opening up the large body circle, so those tiny islands are still supported by the surrounding wall.

Butterfly pumpkin stencil
Hard

Butterfly Pumpkin Stencil

A large open-winged butterfly with patterned inner wings and gracefully pointed outer wing tips fills this hard animal pumpkin stencil. The wings feature multiple elongated oval cutouts radiating from the central body like veins, with each oval surrounded by a narrow pumpkin-skin bridge. Cut the smallest interior oval slots in the lower hind wings first before opening the larger upper-wing ovals, so the fine bridges between them are still backed by solid wall when the blade goes in.

Turkey pumpkin stencil
Expert

Turkey Pumpkin Stencil

A plump, strutting turkey faces forward with wings spread and fan tail displayed on this expert-level animal pumpkin stencil. The design is a dense interlocking map of curved feather sections, body masses, and a detailed head with wattle, all separated by thin white bridges that must stay solid. Because so many narrow bridges cross each other, work from the outermost tail feather tips inward toward the body, removing each isolated section fully before moving to the next rather than skipping around.

Flamingo pumpkin stencil
Easy

Flamingo Pumpkin Stencil

A flamingo stands with its long neck bent gracefully downward and its head dipped toward its breast on this easy Halloween pumpkin stencil. The entire bird is carved away as a single fluid silhouette revealing the glow within, while the two impossibly thin legs are the critical structural bridges connecting the large body void to the base of the cut. Score along each leg edge with a single controlled pass before removing the neighboring body mass on either side, so the legs don't fracture mid-cut.

Fox pumpkin stencil
Hard

Fox Pumpkin Stencil

A fox in a frontal stance with pointed ears, a small round nose, almond eyes, and a bushy chest rendered in flowing tribal-style strokes fills this hard animal pumpkin stencil. The fur is suggested by numerous narrow curved blade-shaped cutouts that radiate from the body center, each separated by thin pumpkin-skin bridges. Because many of these fur-stroke islands are only a few millimeters wide, carve the face feature voids first to anchor the design, then work outward through the fur strokes from chest to leg tips.

Cute Bat pumpkin stencil
Easy

Cute Bat Pumpkin Stencil

A chubby cartoon bat with pointed ears, large round hollow eyes, a small open mouth with two fangs, and wide jagged wings spread in a V-shape makes up this friendly easy bat pumpkin stencil. The wings, eyes, and mouth are all pierced through, leaving the round body as a solid center island held by the wing-edge bridges. To keep the central body from drooping inward once the wings are cut, carve each wing in two halves and leave a thin skin tab at the wingtip notches until the very last cut.

Darwin Fish pumpkin stencil
Hard

Darwin Fish Pumpkin Stencil

The iconic Darwin fish emblem fills this pumpkin stencil as a horizontal fish silhouette with small walking legs at the bottom, the word DARWIN lettered inside the body using bold block capitals separated by vertical post bridges. Both the fish background and the letter interiors are cut through, so the orange bridges spelling out DARWIN glow as solid bars when lit. Carve the background fish outline opening first, then cut each letter interior separately to keep the thin vertical bridges from flexing and cracking.

Cartoon Bat pumpkin stencil
Easy

Cartoon Bat Pumpkin Stencil

A cartoon bat with a round face, large round eyes, tiny fangs, and dramatically swept wings stretched wide is caught in mid-flight on this easy bat pumpkin stencil. The wing spans reach almost to the pumpkin's edges and are cut through as large open areas, while the small round face with its eye circles and a smile-line grin stays solid at the center. Cut the big left wing first, then the right, before tackling the face ring; this order keeps the face island stable until the very end.

Ladybug pumpkin stencil
Easy

Ladybug Pumpkin Stencil

A plump ladybug viewed from above fills this cheerful pumpkin stencil, its round spotted body divided by a center-line ridge and ringed by a curved outline, while a decorative curling head with antennae sits at upper right. The circular spots are the cut-through elements that blaze as glowing dots; the outer body outline and dividing ridge stay solid. To keep the smaller spots from cracking inward, cut the largest center spot first, then work outward to the progressively smaller ones.

Elk Head pumpkin stencil
Hard

Elk Head Pumpkin Stencil

A majestic elk head in silhouette, with a full rack of branching antlers spreading wide above a solid face, ears, and ruffled neck fur, forms this hard-difficulty pumpkin stencil. The entire silhouette is one connected cut-away area, making the antler tines the most delicate element: each branch tapers to a fine point at its tip. Cut the main skull and neck outline first to establish the shape, then work from the antler base toward each tine tip to avoid vibrating the narrowest points before the rest is secure.

Eastern Dragon pumpkin stencil
Expert

Eastern Dragon Pumpkin Stencil

A highly detailed Eastern-style dragon in a crouching, four-legged stance fills this expert pumpkin stencil, with a horned and whiskered head, rows of dorsal spines, a scaled underbelly rendered as oval cutouts along the torso, clawed feet, and a coiling tail with a spiral tip. An intricate network of thin bridges holds the isolated scale ovals and spine shapes in place. Work from the outermost tail spiral inward, and cut the tiny dorsal spine gaps only after all larger surrounding areas are removed, so the skin doesn't flex and crack prematurely.

Unicorn Head pumpkin stencil
Hard

Unicorn Head Pumpkin Stencil

A unicorn head in three-quarter profile faces left with eyes gently closed and long lashes visible, a segmented spiraling horn at the brow, small round nostrils, and a flowing mane of long layered strands cascading to the right on this hard pumpkin stencil. The mane strands are narrow parallel ribbons of solid skin separated by pierced channels. Cut the large open head silhouette first, then carve each mane ribbon from its base at the neck upward so the tapered strand tips are the very last cuts and never lose support.

Dog Paw Print pumpkin stencil
Easy

Dog Paw Print Pumpkin Stencil

Another large dog paw print with one wide main pad and four rounded toe pads arranged above it makes up this easy dog pumpkin stencil, very similar in composition to other paw designs but with slightly wider spacing between the pads and a broader main pad shape. All five elements are cut through as open shapes that glow when lit, the gaps between them forming the defining lines of the print. Carve the two center toe pads first rather than starting at the edges, since the inner cuts require more maneuvering room before the outer pieces are removed.

Swooping Swift pumpkin stencil
Easy

Swooping Swift Pumpkin Stencil

A swift in full dive displays wide-spread wings and a deeply forked tail in this bird pumpkin stencil, its entire silhouette carved as one large open shape. The wing tips show a ragged, feathered edge that gives the design energy when lit; that serrated border is the most fragile detail. Score those feathered wingtip notches with short, shallow plunge cuts before removing the main wing mass, so the delicate points separate cleanly rather than tearing.

Bear Silhouette pumpkin stencil
Easy

Bear Silhouette Pumpkin Stencil

A stocky bear strides to the right in pure silhouette for this easy animal pumpkin stencil, with a broad humped back, small rounded ears, and four stubby legs all merged into one solid cutout shape. The entire figure is carved open, so candlelight pours through the outline and throws a bear-shaped shadow behind the jack-o-lantern. When scoring the outline, cut the concave gap between the front and rear legs first so the blade has a clean starting point before you trace the longer body curves.

Cartoon Cow pumpkin stencil
Hard

Cartoon Cow Pumpkin Stencil

A chubby cartoon cow pumpkin stencil shows the animal facing forward with large round nostrils, oval spot patches scattered across its body, small pointed ears, a tufted tail to one side, and four chunky hooves below. The design uses a mix of cut-through spots and solid orange body mass so the cow's form remains readable while light glows through each spot. Cut the large open belly area first to establish the cow's body outline, then tackle the individual spots; the small ear tips are the most fragile pieces and should be cut last.

Farmyard Hen pumpkin stencil
Easy

Farmyard Hen Pumpkin Stencil

A plump farmyard hen in three-quarter profile fills this easy pumpkin stencil, its silhouette showing a small comb and wattle, a rounded body with layered wing and tail feathers, and two stick-like legs with splayed claws. The entire chicken outline is one solid cutout with the background carved away, producing a dark hen silhouette against glowing orange when backlit. The thin leg shafts and the claw toes are the most fragile sections, so carve the body first and save the legs for the very end, taking care at each claw tip.

Paw Print and Bone pumpkin stencil
Easy

Paw Print and Bone Pumpkin Stencil

A dog paw print stacked above a classic dog bone forms this two-element dog pumpkin stencil, with the paw showing one main pad and four oval toe pads, and the horizontal bone below featuring two knobbed ends and a straight shaft. Both shapes are carved as separate open silhouettes that glow on the finished jack-o-lantern, the paw sitting centered above the bone with a clear gap of skin between them. Cut the paw toe pads and main pad first, then carve the bone, so any flexing of the pumpkin wall during the lower cut does not disturb the already-removed paw above.

Honeybee pumpkin stencil
Hard

Honeybee Pumpkin Stencil

A honeybee shown from above spreads four large wing panels around a segmented body in this bee pumpkin stencil, each wing outlined by a curved channel and left as a solid pumpkin-skin shape, while the spaces inside and between the wings are cut open. The head, thorax, and three abdominal segments are kept solid with open gaps between them, and two curling antennae rise from the head. Cut the antenna curls first since they are the narrowest, most isolated elements, and finishing them before weakening the surrounding wall prevents breakage.

Lucky Paw Print pumpkin stencil
Easy

Lucky Paw Print Pumpkin Stencil

A large dog paw print with one big main pad and four oval toe pads arranged above it fills this easy dog pumpkin stencil, all five shapes carved as separate open pieces that glow independently when lit. The pumpkin-skin gaps between the toe pads and the main pad are narrow but uniform, creating a clean, recognizable print. Cut the four toe pads first from top to bottom, then remove the large main pad last, since it is the biggest single cut and easier to control once the smaller surrounding shapes are already out.

French Bulldog pumpkin stencil
Hard

French Bulldog Pumpkin Stencil

A French Bulldog face stares straight out in this hard dog pumpkin stencil, its large upright bat ears, flat wrinkled muzzle, deep-set eye hollows, pushed-in nose, and jowl folds all captured as a continuous linework design with the open channels carved through and the skin ridges left intact. The ears are wide and open, connecting to the head via two curving lines that form thin bridges at the ear base. Carve the interior face details, including the eye hollows, nose curl, and jowl lines, before cutting the outer ear outlines, so the head stays rigidly attached while you work the delicate inner linework.

Snarling Rat pumpkin stencil
Hard

Snarling Rat Pumpkin Stencil

A snarling rat pumpkin stencil rendered in detailed linework shows the animal rearing up on its hind legs, front paws raised, with a long curving tail sweeping to the left, ragged fur along the spine, clawed feet, and an open mouth with visible teeth. Dozens of short cut lines define the fur texture and claws, leaving narrow orange ridges between them, so the finished jack-o-lantern reads as a detailed fur-covered creature rather than a flat silhouette. Work in sections from the tail outward, cutting fur-texture lines in short strokes rather than single long passes to avoid splitting the thin ridges.

Cartoon Crab pumpkin stencil
Easy

Cartoon Crab Pumpkin Stencil

A cartoon crab pumpkin stencil with two large curved pincer claws spread wide on each side, two flame-shaped claws raised overhead, a round body edged with jagged serrations, a circular belly, and small stubby legs at the bottom. The solid crab body and claw shapes remain as orange pumpkin skin while the surrounding background and the gaps between the pincers are cut away, creating a silhouette that glows from the outer edges. Keep the narrow connectors between each claw and the body intact until the final cut so the arms stay anchored.

Sitting Bunny pumpkin stencil
Easy

Sitting Bunny Pumpkin Stencil

A plump, sitting rabbit faces left in clean silhouette for this beginner-friendly pumpkin stencil, with two tall ears, a rounded body, and chunky hind feet all carved as a single open shape. The entire figure is pierced through, so the warm glow of a candle outlines the bunny against the night. Because the ears are connected only at the base, cut them last to avoid accidentally snapping the narrow junction before the rest of the design is secure.

Geometric Butterfly pumpkin stencil
Hard

Geometric Butterfly Pumpkin Stencil

A geometric butterfly pumpkin stencil showing a symmetrical butterfly with four wings divided into bold sections: two large upper wings each containing a full circle and a pointed outer blade shape, and two lower wings each with a scalloped half-circle cutout. A slim segmented body runs down the center axis with small antennae at the top. The large wing sections and the lower scalloped openings glow brightly when lit, while the solid center body and the wing-division lines keep the butterfly shape crisp. Cut the two round upper wing circles first, since they are isolated islands that must be scored from the surrounding wing before anything else is removed.

Animal Skeleton pumpkin stencil
Expert

Animal Skeleton Pumpkin Stencil

An expert-level animal skeleton pumpkin stencil showing a four-legged creature in profile, likely a large cat or prehistoric predator, with every bone individually rendered: elongated ribcage with many parallel curved ribs, shoulder and hip joints, individual leg bones, and a detailed skull with open jaws. The composition fills the entire pumpkin face diagonally with dozens of separate cut-through bone shapes. Because the ribs are thin parallel strips, cut them from the spine outward rather than across, and leave the connecting spine strip uncut to hold them all in line.

Siberian Husky pumpkin stencil
Hard

Siberian Husky Pumpkin Stencil

A Siberian Husky portrait faces three-quarters left: the triangular ears with small interior cuts, the characteristic facial mask rendered as a series of floating light-and-shadow shapes, and the ruff of the collar all break the face into layered islands of pumpkin skin. The large negative circle framing the head creates a medallion effect when lit, and the mask shapes inside glow as warm orange ridges against the dark background. Work from the smallest inner facial shapes outward, leaving the outer framing arc until last so the structure stays rigid while the details are cut.

Bear and Cub pumpkin stencil
Easy

Bear and Cub Pumpkin Stencil

A bear silhouette pumpkin stencil showing a large adult bear in full profile stride, head slightly lowered, four legs planted mid-walk, with a small bear cub silhouette tucked between two of the adult's legs. Both figures are carved through as a single connected cut-out that glows solidly when lit. The narrow gap between the cub and the adult bear's belly is the most delicate section; cut around the cub's outline with a thin blade before opening the larger bear body to avoid accidentally removing the cub when you pull out the big piece.

Baby Dragon pumpkin stencil
Hard

Baby Dragon Pumpkin Stencil

A round-bodied baby dragon with oversized round eyes, stumpy clawed feet, and membrane wings spread to each side crouches in a compact, almost circular composition. The eyes are large pierced circles, the wings are open negative-space shapes with thin bony rib lines left intact, and small spiky horns crown the head. Lit from within, the glowing eyes become the focal point while the wing membranes glow warmly around the solid orange ribs. Carve the large eye circles first so you can verify the round cuts are centered before committing to the surrounding detail cuts.

Goldfish pumpkin stencil
Easy

Goldfish Pumpkin Stencil

A plump goldfish shown in profile swims to the right: a rounded body, a large flowing tail fin swept back dramatically, a smaller dorsal fin on top, and a single pectoral fin near the belly. A small negative-space teardrop inside the body suggests the gill line. The whole fish is a single connected cut-out, so the lit pumpkin casts one glowing fish silhouette against the dark wall. Keep the narrow pectoral fin intact as long as possible and cut it free only after the main body is removed.
