Fall Pumpkin Stencils
Fall pumpkin stencils celebrate the season with maple leaves, acorns, harvest moons, sunflowers, and autumn scenes that work from September through Thanksgiving. They are the pumpkins that stay out long after the ghosts are packed away.

How to carve a fall pumpkin stencil
Leaves and acorns are simple silhouettes: cut each one through and finish the leaf points with a knife. The veins inside a leaf are scraped lines. A harvest moon is a large round opening; cut it last. For an autumn tree, cut the trunk and thick branches through and scrape the canopy so it glows softly.
Fall pumpkins belong with hay bales, mums, and a wreath on the door. Mix carved ones with uncarved gourds so the display looks full through the whole season.
Questions
Fall stencil questions
What is the difference between the fall and harvest stencils?+
Fall designs are about the season's look: leaves, acorns, trees, moons. Harvest designs are about the crops: wheat, corn, pumpkins, and farm scenes. Both suit a porch from September on.
How do I carve a maple leaf?+
Cut the leaf outline through in short strokes, finishing the five points from both sides with a knife, then scrape the veins from the stem out to each point.
How long do fall pumpkin stencils take to carve?+
Check the individual stencil's carving guide for its time estimate. Preparation, pumpkin size, wall thickness and your experience affect the total; difficulty alone does not determine carving time.
Which fall pumpkin stencils are the easiest?+
14 of the 61 are easy, 27 of the 61 are intermediate, 12 of the 61 are hard, 8 of the 61 are expert. Compare the difficulty labels and carving guides to choose a design.
