- A zombie face with two different eyes and a crooked mouth. Because nothing has to be symmetrical, it is more forgiving than a regular jack-o'-lantern. Make one eye a circle and the other a slit, and drop one corner of the mouth.
- How do I make a pumpkin look rotten or decayed?
- Scrape patches of skin off at random around the face, tear a few edges instead of cutting them cleanly, and carve a couple of drips running down from the mouth. A green light inside finishes it.
- How do I carve zombie stitches?
- Scrape one long line for the wound, then cut short slits across it every half inch. The slits glow as the stitches and the scraped line is the scar. Curve the wound across the forehead or cheek rather than keeping it straight.
- How do I carve zombie hands rising from the ground?
- Start the hands at the bottom edge of the pumpkin so they look like they are coming up out of the ground. Bend the fingers at the knuckles, cut the gaps between fingers as slits, and scrape jagged sleeve edges at the wrist.
